Water Arrives in Buhanga! - thanks to Darren Muise

The villagers in Buhanga are happy today because they no longer have to climb 3 miles into the mountains to get water.

Thanks to a generous $3,000 donation from Darren Muise in Montreal, the residents of Buhanga can get water directly from a faucet in their town. The funds from Darren were spent digging a trench and installing a long pipeline - a task that was accomplished in only a week, due to help from everyone in the village.

Brighter Brains Institute is very pleased to be working with the residents of Buhanga. In addition to the pipeline, BBI has also installed a medical clinic for Mother Givers School, and we are soon delivering 100 books, from Scholastic. In the future we hope to construct a classroom for the school (out of bricks, the current structures are all mud-and-wattle).

Thank you Darren for your kindness!

Brighter Brains Institute members will visit Buhanga next spring, and drink from the faucet themselves.
