Roger Hansen visits Amasiko Green School in Uganda - installs swing set and climbing tower

Roger Hansen - a Brighter Brains Institute “Active Fellow” who visits Uganda frequently - is presently at Lake Bunyonyi, a beautiful area in the southwestern corner, near the Rwanda and Congo border.

He is visiting Amasiko Green School - an environmental education center that BBI has been in correspondence with. Amasiko Green School is co-ordinated by a Dutch man named Wilfried. (pictured with the swing set below)

Roger organized the installation of a swing set, and a climbing tower, for the children in the region. Photos below.

Roger’s report to us from there is: “The weather here in the mountains is nice, almost cool. The view from Wilfried’s dining room is incredible. The lunch he served was very good. His crew worked hard on the swing set.”

Roger added that he received wonderful assistance from Judy Nalube (his in-country coordinator) and Abdullatif Nende (his driver and head of construction). He confessed that: “they do most of the “heavy lifting.” I just, actually I’m not sure what I contribute.”

BBI wants to have a wonderful relationship with Amasiko, and assist them in their valuable activities.
