RACHEL LYN EDLER CLINIC REPORT FROM 18th JULY-1st AUGUST 2016

Posted: Sat, August 06, 2016 | By: Nyakiyumbu

Nyakiyumbu Orphanage Humanist School received the following conditions/diseases from the above indicated date. These are indicated below in a table.

Number of Patients / Disease

33 Respiratory tract infections
05 Malaria
03 Wounds
02 Anthrax
01 Body ring warms
01 Scalp-capitates
01 Amenorrhea
01 Candidiasis
02 Dysphagia
04 Peptic ulcers disease
01 Otiatis madia
05 Diarrhea
59 Total number of patients
59 patients

Through out the month of July, the most common disease has been the respiratory tract infections with a bigger number of patients in comparison to other diseases we have received in Edler clinic.

The second leading disease is malaria and diarrhea followed by the rest of the diseases identified.

From the observations, most of these leading diseases could have been caused by drinking unsafe/unprotected water because of its scarcity in the area. This is because taped and borehole water which would be safe for usage (drinking) in the school is not on a regular functioning.

Also to keep testing our people of Nyakiyumbu, it would b essential if we had a glocometer because it’s identified that some have blood glucose.

With your support on a timely basis given to us, you have helped us serve the community and we shall continue to serve the people you fundraise for.

I remain sincerely yours
