Progress on “Piedmont Classroom” at Nyakiyumbu Widows Orphanage Humanist School - January 5, 2017

Posted: Thu, January 05, 2017 | By: Nyakiyumbu

The Piedmont Classroom is almost complete - funds were raised for this brick structure via a benefit party in Piedmont, California. (the headquarters of the Brighter Brains Institute)

The classroom at this point only needs doors and windows.

Piedmont Classroom is the first permanent structure on the campus of Nyakiyumbu Widows Orphanage Humanist School. All the other buildings are made of sticks and mud, and are categorized as “Temporary Buildings” because they disintegrate in heavy rainfall.

Many thanks to everyone who contributed to the building of this classroom.
