Ontario Humanists donate $310 Canadian dollars to SoyBean Farm in Kanungu

Posted: Sat, January 27, 2018 | By: Kanungu (Uganda)

The Ontario Humanist Society - a generous Canadian group that has consistently supported BBI activities in Uganda - has donated $310 Canadian dollars to the Soybean Farm Project at Kanungu Humanist School.

The funds have been wired to Kanungu via UseRemit.com.

The soybean income will be spent on providing teacher salaries, paying school tuition for orphans, and purchasing food for the school lunch.

50% of the soybean crop will be sold at the market, 35% will be roasted and fed to the school children, and 15% will be fed to fish in the Tilapia Pond.

Brighter Brains Institute and Kanungu Humanist School are both very appreciative of the generosity of the Ontario Humanists, who will be kept informed of the progress of the soybean farm via photos, receipts, and regular reports.

Thank you, Ontario Humanists!
