In 2015, Bob Pellissier donated $3,000 to the Kanyenze Women’s Group, to establish a motorcycle repair garage.
The repair shop has been very successful, partly because it is the only one in its area.
Recently, the Kanyenze Women’s group reported to Bob that the enterprize earned $3,350 in the last year.
The profits were spent on feeding children lunch at the Kanyenze Humanist Primary School, which is directed by the Kanyenze Women’s Group, and led by chairperson Loice Ngunguro.
The Pellissier Motorcycle Repair Garage is arguably the most successful Brighter Brains Institute business project in Uganda—other projects include chicken farms, two piggeries, a maize grinder, two fishing boats, a rental hall, a tractor, two grasshopper traps, five “boda-bodas” and gardens for pumpkins, passion fruit, and mixed vegetables.
