Kanyenze Humanist School receives $570 from Atheist Community of San Jose

Kanyenze Humanist School has received $570 in funds from the Atheist Community of San Jose (ACSJ). The money was gained via a fundraiser held by ACSJ earlier in the year; it was wired to Kanyenze, and received yesterday, via WorldRemit.com

The majority of the money is to be used to upgrade the “Atheist Community of San Jose Classroom” that serves the 200 students of Kanyenze Humanist School (painting, building repair). Some of the funds are also to be used to hire a humanist teacher (Masereka Sebastian) to instruct the children in the principles of humanism.

Atheist Community of San Jose is a very generous contributor to BBI humanist projects in Uganda. In addition to the clinic, they also provided funds to build an “Atheist Community of San Jose Classroom” at Kasese Humanist Secondary School. A representative from ACSJ - Werner Haag—is also going to Uganda in 3 weeks, as part of a 7-member inspection team from BBI.

Thank you, ACSJ!
