Holly Shrimpton has donated $1,000 to the clinic that serves Kahendero Humanist Nursery School, in western Uganda.
The clinic is named “Jean Shrimpton Clinic” after Holly’s recently-departed mother, who was deeply cherished by her family members.
The $1,000 that Holly has donated will purchase medicine for the clinic, which is scheduled to open in June.
Kahendero Humanist Nursery School is also called “BiZoHa #2”—because it is only 1.5 miles away from the BiZoHa Humanist Orphanage School, that opened on February 22, 2016.
The children of Kahendero will deeply appreciate the medicine and the Jean Shrimpton Clinic. The fishing village is beset with numerous ailments, such as malaria, HIV/AIDS, cholera, bilharzia, and infections.
Brighter Brains Institute quickly raised sufficient funds to build Kahendero Humanist Nursery School and the Jean Shrimpton Clinic, and both projects are deeply appreciated by the communities.
Photos below are of the half-finished clinic, and of children in Kahendero.
