H+ Clinic in Bwethe, Uganda, was recently established by Brighter Brains Institute, after raising $1,500 via individual donations and a GoFundMe campaign.
The clinic will provide free medical care for the 200 children at the local primary school.
Bwethe is located in the foothills of the Ruwenzori mountains of Eastern Uganda. The town is not reachable by road - the best access is a 40 minute hike on a rugged trial that leads there from the village of Kyarumba.
The town’s remoteness makes it very difficult for Bwethe residents to receive health care. H+ Clinic seeks to remedy that situation.
The report from the first month of H+ Clinic Operations (August 2015):
Malaria - 5 cases
Respiratory Tract Infections - 17 cases
Peptic Ulcer - 12
Diarrhea - 1
