H+ Clinic at Bwethe Primary School — Disease Report December 15, 2015

Posted: Wed, December 16, 2015 | By: Bwethe School

“H+ Clinic” is located in a remote area of the Ruwenzori mountain region in western Uganda. It is accessed only by trail, the nearest road is 4 kilometers away, in the town of Kyarumba. The area around H+ Clinic is populated with farmers, primarily of coffee and cassava.

Five Members of Brighter Brains Institute visited H+ Clinic in November—the setting is on top of a ridge, overlooking two beautiful valleys.

H+ Clinic serves the 200 children who attend the local Bwethe Primary School.

Below is a report on the health of the children for the school term that just ended, in December 2015.

Below that is a photo of the Bwethe Primary School teachers, with a handful of students, and below that is a photo of the medic, Ithungu Eliza

Our ongoing campaign to raise funds to support this clinic is HERE

66 cases of Respiratory Tract Infection (RTI)

20 cases of Malaria

9 cases of Peptic Ulcer Disease (caused by malnutrition)

7 cases of Diarrhea
