Garama Secondary Humanist School - BBI’s newest partner, thanks to Dave and Carol Thompson

Posted: Thu, June 23, 2016 | By: Garama Secondary Humanist School

Garama Secondary School is five kilometers northwest of Kyarumba, in western Uganda. This school of 335 children (from the BaKonzo tribe) is the most recent partner of Brighter Brains Institute - they have agreed to join us, via adoption of our humanist curriculum.

Garama is one of two schools directed by MIWODIF, a women’s organization headquartered in Mitooma, 100 kilometers away. The other MIWODIF school is MUHITO Girls Vocational School, which has also agreed to be humanist with BBI.

A generous contribution from Dave and Carol Thompson enabled us to immediately send $350 of food to the Grama students. Our future goals are to send them AFRIpads, teacher salaries, and to establish a medical clinic.

Thank you, Dave and Carol!
