The generous “Buhanga Friends Australia” group has donated funds to build two new classrooms for Mother Givers Humanist School in Uganda.
Funds are provided by Kerry Mills and Cameron Harris. Other valuable members of the group are Kerry Mills, and Kumaran Reddy.
The ground is being prepared for the new classrooms (see photo) by the hard-working members of the Buhanga Thuligahuman Women’s Collective, who are the directors of the school.
Friends of Buhanga Australia has provided numerous benefits to the small village in the foothills of the Ruwenzori Mountains.
In March, they subsidized a student excursion to Queen Elizabeth National Park that was highly enjoyed by the youngsters.
More recently, they provided funds for food - there’s a drought in Buhanga that has hurt the productivity of the crops.
