Kasese United Humanist Association is a “partner of Atheist Alliance International.”
This brings to nine the total number of humanist schools in Kasese District, Uganda.
Schools that were already members of KUHA are Kasese Humanist Primary School (KHPS), BiZoHa Orphanage Humanist School, and Kahendero Nursery Humanist School.
Two additional humanist schools will probably also join KUHA.
The schools that have been notified about KUHA, but have not yet registered as members, are Kasanga-Kaghema Orphanage Humanist School, and Mughete Junior Humanist School.
The high number of humanist schools in western Uganda is extremely unusual in Africa.
The success of humanism in this nation is due to the combined efforts of organizations and people like Steve Hurd (Uganda Humanist Schools Trust), Bwambale Robert Musubaho (KUHA, KHPS), and Brighter Brains Institute.
