In November 2015, Eric Oliver visited the “Creativity Lab” that he funded at Kasese Humanist Primary School.
The Creativity Lab is an after-school club where children practice a wide variety of art forms, including weaving, poetry, dancing, music, and singing. Eric purchased a video camera for the club, an electric piano, drums, art supplies, and weaving supplies.
Eric Oliver and four members of his family were treated to a performance by the Creativity Lab in the KHPS theater. The performance consisted of about ten songs, many of them originally written and composed for the event. The songs were delivered with dance steps. Poems were also presented.
Eric Oliver videotaped the majority of the performances - his intention is to present a few of them at the Humanist Cabaret event in April.
Below are photos of the performers and the audience members.
