Eco-Briquette Presses are machines that can compress paper pulp and plant waste into slow-burning, hot burning briquettes.
They are extremely valuable in nations like Uganda, that are being deforested because people use timber for cooking and heating fuel.
Transforming waste materials into burnable briquettes also eliminates the hours spent walking to the forest every day.
Brighter Brains Institute is happy to have commissioned the first eco-briquette press for its Ugandan humanist schools. The funds were made available by a donor who contributed to our “Science Missionary” campaign.
The eco-briquette press cost only $125 to construct.
Any donor who wants to sponsor construction of an eco-briquette can have their name inscribed on the machine. Donate HERE
The Eco-Briquette Press will provide fuel for lunches at Kasese Humanist Primary School and Kasese Humanist Secondary School.
