Brighter Brains Helps KHPS purchase Educational Equipment

Posted: Fri, March 20, 2015 | By: Kasese

Brighter Brains Institute recently helped Kasese Humanist Primary School purchase educational equipment.

Melissa McAllister - a Brighter Brains Active Fellow - launched a YouCaring.com crowdfunding campaign, to assist Masereka Solomon (a KHPS faculty member) in the purchase of supplies. To date, over $1,200 has been raised.

With the funds raised thus far, Masereka has purchased a computer, and a printer. He needs these items, he says:

“to provide learners and teachers with accurate and more detailed learning and teaching materials. With this technology, I can keep our pupils updated with news printed on paper and distributed to them. In this way, we shall improve their reading culture and increase their love to be in school… I also got a digital camera from Mario Mouton that I use to capture the student activity - they need to remember the quiet, sweet, good moments they have at school. I want my pupils here exposed to the world; I want to make them happy and literate.”
