A new school in Kyarumba, in western Uganda, is going to receive a clinic soon, thanks to Bob Pellissier, one of the most generous of the contributors to Brighter Brains Institute.
Mughete Primary School has about 200 children. The school is situated on the road leading into Kyarumba, in an area where there are great views of the valley and many coffee trees are growing.
Bob Pellissier and four family members visited Mughete Primary School in mid-November, 2015. Bob enjoyed meeting the two directors of the school, and the many children.
Mughete is one of 6 clinics that Bob Pellissier has either set up or will set up in the near future, in the western Uganda region. The other five are at Vision Care School (in Kyarumba), Kabingo School (outside Kyarumba, in the Ruwenzori mountains), St. Michael’s School (Kyarumba), Mother Givers Nursery School (in Buhanga, near Kyarumba), and Kasese Humanist Primary School.
Bob’s son Eric Oliver also has two clinics in Kyarumba. These serve Rays of Light Orphanage School, and St. Luke’s Nursery School.
The clinics provide free medicine and medical care to the students at the schools they serve. The children suffer from Malaria, Peptic Ulcer Disease (caused by malnutrition), Worm Infections, and other maladies.
