Forty-five pairs of shoes were dished out today, in a great moment of joy at the two campuses of Kasese Humanist Primary School!
45 pupils at the schools received shoes donated courtesy of Pellissier Science Laboratory. $175 US provided by Bob Pellissier enabled KHPS to purchase shoes for the children at the school who go barefooted. The Donor was very concerned about the plight of our pupils after realizing that many go barefoot.
During a de-worming exercise we carried out a month ago, the pupils themselves pointed out that they can get worms by not wearing shoes.
The shoe distribution exercise was conducted by the School Director, and the School Head Teachers, at the two campuses - assisted by several female teachers.
The beneficiaries were so happy to get shoes. They extend Special Thanks to Bob Pellissier for his generous offer. The teachers welcomed this great news also.
Attached are images of the shoe distribution exercise.
