As we count day 2 in the New Year, works at BIZOHA are in high gear after my roofer surfaced. I procured 290 timbers today and booked over 140 iron sheets at the local hardware shop to roof up the entire nursery block built with funds from 3 generous individuals who have a loving heart to provide shelter for Ugandan children to combat ignorance, backwardness, poverty and disease. Donors to this cause are Dr. Bruce Chou, Pegasystems and Davida Lecomte.
The buildings after completion will be named Dr Bruce Chou Classroom #2, Rainbow Classroom and Happy Human classroom. The rainbow symbolizes Equality where it’s a must that people have to respect human right freedoms of all people whether they are a minority or majority, the Happy Human signifies a right where all people are supposed to be happy always bearing in mind that life is short in this one life we live and share in this world of diversity.
I am also happy to inform the world that Tank #2 courtesy of Oguz Poroy has been installed and to make it functional my carpenters are fitting fascia boards on the Primary Classroom block such that I fix well the gutters to harvest rain water to the tank.
The front outer wall of the nursery block as facing the motor highway has been painted Orange, the KHPS custom school color and it will bear the school badge, name and graphics common on school walls.
Roofing works is likely to take some 5 days to complete so watch this space for updates.
The school opens on 22nd February 2016 and will offer nursery and primary education to learners. The curriculum we are following is that as stipulated by the Uganda Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. Other subjects taught are humanist lessons, vocational skills training, music and computer lessons are also taught at our schools.
