Its harvest time at the Bizoha Farmland, this time we have started to harvest sweet potatoes. I initiated planting of sweet potatoes some 3 months ago, did it in phases up to this very moment.
Its gonna support the Kasese Humanist School projects for a long duration. At the farmland, we also have other crops thriving like tomatoes, egg plants, plantains, mangoes, bananas, cassava, maize, onions, cabbages, dodo to mention but a few.
Crops are grown all year around on this large expanse of land close to 8 acres in the irrigated lands of lower Muhokya. Now that our Tractor is available, its going to work on the remaining bushy part and we make it cultivable.
This farm is helping KHPS projects access easily food requirements for its population and there is a slight improvement in our diet at the school.
attached are some of the images taken on the farm, i went with the School Head Teacher Ngabirwe Phiona accompaned with Teacher Eliza, The school cooks and the Farm workers were found busy carrying on their chores in ensuring everything is in order.
With Science, we can progress.
