BBI launches successful “Birth Control for Uganda Humanists” campaign

Posted: Wed, November 01, 2017 | By: Women’s Empowerment

The Brighter Brains Institute launched a very successful GoFundMe campaign on October 31, 2017 - to raise money for female and male condoms that would be distributed to the nine women’s collectives that we’re partnered with.

The campaign’s goal was to raise $1,250. That goal was exceeded in less than 24 hours.

50% of the funding will be spent on female and male condoms that will be directly given to the nine women’s groups.

The remaining 50% of funding will pay three birth control teachers - Ngabirwe Phiona, Charity Cathy, and Jonald Namayangye - to visit communities and lecture on the connection between birth control, feminism, and humanism.

BBI thanks its donors for its generous help with this project.
