Learning is not confined to the classroom. At our schools we encourage outdoor learning. Today our learners took to the field and studied about lakes, its importance, economic activities on our lakes, problems facing fishing sites, types of fish caught in Lake George and the mode of formation of this lake, a mention about the water cycle or hydro-logical cycle. A mention was made too about lakes as a tourist attraction.
Our learners boarded the Ana Sanchez Boat which belongs to the Kahendero school - donated by Chai Garcia - while scores of pupils were canoed around the lake shores to study about the water lilies, algae, water creatures like hippos and fish.
The learners enjoyed the excursion trip. this activity lasted for 3 complete hours. The locals were thrilled by the mode of learning which was unusual, they thanked the school management for having organized such a tour.
With Science, we can progress.
