Abdulrahman Aliyu joins BBI Africa Advisory Board

Posted: Thu, April 06, 2017 | By: Humanism

Abdulrahman Aliyu is a 33-year-old man living in a Sharia state of northern Nigeria.

He was born in Borno state; the home of Boko Haram. He is a self-described “closet atheist” - also humanist and vegetarian.

He was enrolled in college until his father (a prominent Islamic scholar) cut off his tuition, due to his atheism. Abdulrahman is self-educated - he has read many books by Richard Dawkins, San Harris, Christopher Hitchens, and Ayaan Hirsi Ali. He speaks three language: Kanuri, Hausa, and English, and he understands a little Arabic. He will be helping BBI via our upcoming Ex-Muslim Support Centre.
